Feeding Hour – June 6th – 4:00 p.m.

Join Farmers Paula & Cameron at 4:00 (sharp) for a fun and interactive hour while they feed all the animals that live at SpringDell. This is a great opportunity to get children onto the farm to learn about animal agriculture. Help farmers carry grain buckets, fill water and toss hay. See where the farm animals live, what they eat for a well-balanced diet and how much their farmers care for their well-being.

Closed-Toe shoes are a must for all attending. Those that are not wearing appropriate footwear will be asked to turn back.

“Feeding Hour” events take place the first and last Thursday of every month! Guests are welcome to come to one or as many as they please!

Yoga on the Farm – June 8th – 8:00 a.m. 

Come join Evelynn Sablone on Saturday morning. We will begin with some movement, including some sun salutes and end with a lot of stetching on our mats. This slow and gentle flow is good for all levels, including beginners. Bring a mat and some water. Wear comfortable clothes that will not restrict your movement.

$15/person and payments can be made at the farm, prior to the class.

Strawberry Social – A Conversation About Local Food – June 20th – 6:00 p.m. 

There is a lot that is impacting local farms. There always has been. The huge interest in local food and open landscapes takes community, consumers and farmers working together to keep land open and farms viable.

Join us for a Thursday evening on the hillside as we sit down to discuss local food and local agriculture. From the tale of where we have been to the mountains that lie ahead. This event will bring my family and crew together with you as well as fellow industry men and women that you can chat with and gain a better understanding of agriculture and farming that is taking place right in your back yard.

Learn more about how farmers advocate for their industry. The pressures they are facing as the industry changes. From conversations about production practices to favorite seed companies. Livestock production to local regulations impacting the family farms in your neighborhood.

Join Mandy Clark, Independent Consultant for Usborne Books under the beautiful willow tree that overlooks the farm for a book reading related to agriculture under the big willow tree up on the hill! Grow a love of learning on your favorite farm.

Join parents and kids for fun on the farm! After the reading, kids will enjoy farm-fresh snacks, project related to agriculture and an opportunity to meet baby farm animals.

(this event will feature different books and a different activities from the events hosted earlier in the season)

In the event of rain, this event will be cancelled.

Grab a pizza at your favorite pizza joint, pack a sandwich or load up the charcoal grill! Lawn chairs or a blanket. And of course the supplies for s’mores. Gather your family and head over to the Dell for an old-fashioned evening on the farm! Fire pits will be going, the skies will be beautiful and the farm a whole lot of fun. byob. Parking located in the front of the farm and off of Old Great Road (which puts you in by the greenhouses).

Scarecrow Contest – October 5th – 8:00 a.m.

Grab your best supplies and all the recycled clothes and goodies you can find to create the best entry! You can enter the competition as an individual, a couple, a family, a local business, best-friends, an organization, etc., — WE WILL SUPPLY THE HAY! Feel free to include signs advertising or promoting something you love, your family name and so forth.

Access entry forms upon arrival.

Judging will take place from October 6-11 by those who visit our farm stand. Scarecrows will line up our front fields.

Come here anytime on the 5th and spend as much time as needed creating your masterpiece. Feel free to bring a picnic to make the most of your time in the Dell!

A Closer Look Into the Cattle Farm – October 6th – 10:00 a.m.

Join us at our sister-farm in the beautiful town of Groton, Massachusetts!

Join our farm family for a fun few hours on our cattle farm. This small gathering gives you a closer connection to the land, the opportunity to chat directly with the farmers, ask questions and get real answers.

Meet the spring babies, tour the pastures and learn more about livestock and animal agriculture. This is a great opportunity to get some fresh air & some education on your local food supply.

Pack a picnic-lunch and enjoy it on the hillside, overlooking the town of Groton!

Tour departs for the pasture at 10:15AM, sharp from our “feed yard” located on 196 Martins Pond Road, Groton.

Event is $5/pp | Kids under 12 are FREE | Meat Subscription members FREE

PLEASE NO DOGS. Our momma cows are very protective of their babies and dogs remind them of coyotes.

Grand Opening Day – Our 88th Season – May 1st  – 9:00 a.m.

We will have a soft-opening on April 27th, weather-depending. You can always catch us on Saturdays no matter what… but our opening day for 2019 is MAY 1st! And we will be well-stocked, ready for the arrival of Asparagus season and open 7 days a week!
We are looking forward to our 88th season on the family farm!

Annual Field Day & Sheep Shearing Festival – May 25th – 10:00 a.m. 

The most popular farm event in all of Littleton! It is fun for the whole family!

Easter Family Photo Shoot on the Farm – April 20th – 10:00 a.m. 

Come with family and friends and take a photo shoot on the farm! We will have a photo booth set up in the barn with farm animals, straw, burlap and more.

Each family or group will be able to enter the set up in our barn privately for 8 minutes at a time.

This is the perfect event for those that need a hug from a farm animal and updated family candids.

Past 2018 events 

Annual Spring Hike – May 5th – 10:00 a.m.

Spend a couple of hours exploring the freshly turned soil, greenhouses, livestock, newly-claimed farmland and forest that makes up this historic little piece of ground.

Grab the family, a few friends, even your furkid is welcome! And if you decide to pack a picnic-lunch; the backyard, or the pond out back make the perfect spot to sit down and enjoy it!

There is a map to pick up at the Farm Stand as you check-in that gives the locations of many historic sites on the property; including the old silo foundations, the old black-smith shop, the original farmhouse foundation, and the North School House.

Be sure to grab the Scavenger Hunt sheet for you and your team —completed forms dropped off on your way out enter you into a drawing to win a Grill Package for the family and/or friends.

Participated in this annual event in the past? There have been a lot of changes since the spring of 2017. Come check them out, meet the newest baby farm animals and get some fresh, farm air!

Harvest Workshop for Children – August 8th – 1:00 p.m. 

Join our Farmer on August 8th for a fun afternoon in the fields. This fun event is geared toward children ages 5 to 10, accompanied by a parent or guardian. It will introduce children to harvesting produce. Children will have the opportunity to visit the fields to collect ingredients to cook a recipe that the farmer has created. They will learn about the different fruit and vegetable plants and how to properly harvest. They will leave with a box of produce that they hand-picked for dinner.

Join us for an evening on Scratch Flat! Enjoy one of the oldest continuously farmed pieces of farm land in Littleton with fellow community members…bring dinner, roast marshmallows, and enjoy the crisp September air as the sun sets on the farm. It is one of the most peaceful places to be and we open the doors for you to enjoy the back yard as much as we do!
